Privacy Policy

RevDog is a native macOS menu bar application for viewing RevenueCat business metrics. RevDog is independently developed and is not affiliated with or endorsed by RevenueCat, Inc.

Data handling

RevDog does not use advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, tracking technologies, or a developer-operated backend. The developer does not receive, sell, rent, or share your RevenueCat credentials or business metrics.

When you choose RevenueCat account sign-in, your email address, password, and optional authenticator code are sent directly from the app to api.revenuecat.com over HTTPS for authentication. RevDog does not retain your password or authenticator code. After successful authentication, only the returned session token is stored in macOS Keychain.

When you choose API-key or OAuth access, the provided API key or OAuth tokens are stored in macOS Keychain. Revenue metrics and transaction data are requested directly from RevenueCat. The latest successful snapshot is cached locally on your Mac for faster launch and offline fallback. Settings are stored locally using macOS preferences.

Third-party service

RevDog communicates with RevenueCat only when you connect a RevenueCat account, use an API key, use OAuth, or open a RevenueCat documentation link. RevenueCat processes information according to its own privacy policy and terms. RevDog does not provide RevenueCat data to advertising networks, data brokers, or unrelated third parties.

Notifications and launch at login

If enabled, RevDog uses the macOS notification system for local sale notifications and Apple’s ServiceManagement framework for launch at login. These features do not send data to the developer.

Retention and deletion

Credentials and tokens remain in macOS Keychain until you disconnect the account or remove the application’s Keychain items. Cached revenue data and preferences remain on your Mac until removed through macOS or by deleting the app’s local data. RevDog does not maintain a server-side copy that the developer can delete.

Children

RevDog is a business utility and is not directed to children.

Changes

This policy may be updated when RevDog’s functionality or legal requirements change. The current version will remain available at this URL.
